Andrew Zwicker

Andrew Zwicker is a scientist and educator at Princeton University’s Plasma Physics Laboratory. Your Assemblyman since 2016, Andrew has worked to find sensible solutions to improve our quality of life today and for future generations. He uses evidence to author legislation that creates high-quality jobs, fosters innovation, and protects our environment. He and his wife Barbara, an elementary school educator, live in Kingston where they raised three children.

Roy Freiman is a former executive at Prudential Financial and has dedicated his career to making smart financial decisions. As your Assemblyman, Roy has used his business and financial background to help families, senior citizens, and our community navigate through the challenges of COVID-19. Roy believes that economic recovery is just a baseline, and New Jersey’s goal should be a real opportunity for all working families. He and his wife Victoria, a retired public school teacher, have two grown children and live in Hillsborough with their dogs.

Sadaf Jaffer

Dr. Sadaf Jaffer teaches at Princeton University and served two terms as Mayor of Montgomery Township, becoming the first South Asian American woman elected Mayor in New Jersey. As Mayor, Sadaf created bipartisan support and a constituent-driven approach to stop the spread of COVID-19 during the height of the pandemic. Using her local expertise, Sadaf will work to amplify the voices of all LD 16 residents, especially underrepresented communities. She and her husband, Dan, a professor at Princeton, are raising their daughter in Montgomery Township.

How to Vote in This November’s Election

Vote By Mail

You can have your ballot delivered to your mail box so you can vote from the comfort of your home. There are three ways to return your mail-in-ballot once you have completed it. 

1)Mail: Your mail-in-ballot can be returned via mail and must be post marked on or before 8:oopm on November 2 and be received by your county’s Board of Elections on or before November 8. 

2) Secure Ballot Drop Box: Place it in one of your county’s secure ballot drop boxes by 8:00pm on November 2. 

3) Board of Elections Office: Deliver it in person to your county’s Board of Elections Office by 800pm on November 2. 

Vote Early In Person

For the first time in New Jersey’s history registered voters in New Jersey have the ability to vote in person for nine (9) days prior to election day.

In person early voting begins on Saturday, October 23 and goes through Sunday, October 31st, 2021. Each NJ county will hold nine (9) days of early, in-person machine voting. Each county, depending on its size, will designate a minimum of 3 to 10 voting locations for early in-person voting purposes. Early voting locations will be open from at least 10 am to 8 pm on Mondays through Saturdays, and from at least 10 am to 6 pm on Sundays. 

Vote on Election Day

You can vote in person at your polling place, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Accommodations will be made for voters with disabilities. NOTE: Vote-by-mail ballots CANNOT be returned to your polling place for this election.
